Introduction to Sports Nutrition

We all want to be healthy and take our fitness and performance to the next level. Many athletes are uncertain of how to do that. "Eat more protein to build muscle, but don't eat too much because it's bad for your kidneys." "Don't be scared of carbs." "Carbs make you fat." "Intermittent fasting is great for weight loss." "Eat every 3 hours." With all of the contradicting information on the internet, it's difficult to know what works for each individual. Using recent science-based research, I'm hoping that I can help you understand how an athlete should eat in order to maximize health, as well as performance. This website will include a variety of information that will help you understand how much to eat, what foods to eat, when to eat, sample meals and other useful nutritional information.
